ABOUT Christa

Christa Collins (b. 1996, Nashville, TN) is an emerging artist based in Atlanta, GA. Working across painting, sculpture, and mixed media, her practice explores presence, memory, and the emotional and spiritual landscapes beneath the surface.

Rooted in Abstract Expressionism, Collins’ work blends gesture, spontaneity, and the subconscious to develop a personal language of emotion and spirit. Her creative process is instinctive and materially engaged, marked by immediacy, imperfection, and a tactile exploration of layered textures and surfaces. Known for her raw materiality and rich, earthy palette, she embraces construction and deconstruction as a language of transformation—creating dynamic forms and emotional landscapes. These layered compositions reflect themes of healing, interiority, and connection to the unseen.

A self-taught artist with a background in fashion and music, Collins’ practice is shaped by rhythm, intuitive discovery, and ongoing spiritual seeking. Her work invites quiet dialogue, encouraging viewers to slow down and reflect on their own inner worlds.

She has exhibited at prominent Southeastern institutions including Zeitgeist Gallery (Nashville, TN), Alday Hunken Gallery, and Nina Baldwin Gallery (Atlanta, GA). Her work is held in private collections including the Bankers Alley Hotel (Nashville, TN). In 2024, she was awarded Critic’s Pick by Creative Loafing and featured on the cover and in a full spread of Gulch Magazine (Vol. 1). Collins will participate in the 2025 Atlanta Art Fair.
